Ground Preparation

Established in 2004, the business known as MJ Smith Ground Preparation began as an owner/operator with one bulldozer doing small local jobs.

Today, the MJ Smith Group holds 65 pieces of plant and equipment, employs 45 staff from Senior Management through to Labourers and provides services to the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, right throughout South East Queensland.

With late model, low hour plant and equipment and our highly experienced operators, you can expect reliability as well as first class results.

Franna Crane Hire

The MJ Smith Group have a 25 tonne Crane that is now available for hire with a qualified Crane Driver and Dogman.

Civil Construction

We supply plant, machinery & personnel to perform civil construction earthworks.

Earthmoving

We supply all plant, machinery and personnel to undertake any earthmoving, whether it be small or large scale projects.

Experienced in civil construction and bulk earthworks, we have the resources and personnel available to complete all projects from beginning to end.

Heavy Haulage

We have prime movers and trailers available to move your plant and equipment, with a dolly available for those bigger pieces of plant.

We hold all relevant permits to enable your load to be moved correctly and safely, with competent operators and low hour/late model plant and equipment available.

The Woodenbong Depot is the companies main office, complete with workshop, while there is also a depot at Dalby with a lay down yard and office.

With the ability to set up temporary depots, MJ Smith Group is capable of servicing a large area and can source extra equipment from a range of partners when required.
